Jeffrey F. Keller- Partner

Jeffrey F. Keller is a founding partner of the Keller Grover LLP consumer, business and employment law firm, with extensive experience as a successful San Francisco consumer/business/employment lawyer specializing in the areas of consumer protection, antitrust and whistleblower litigation. Keller has forged relationships with other nationally recognized law firms throughout his career, and has been instrumental in the successful litigation of landmark cases such as In re: Visa Check/MasterMoney Antitrust Litigation, in which an unprecedented $3.05 billion settlement was obtained. Eric A. Grover  - Partner

Eric A. Grover is a founding member of Keller Grover LLP, who worked with the large and prestigious labor and employment law firm Littler Mendelson, P.C. Grover has served as Managing Shareholder of Littler's flagship office in San Francisco and was a former member of the national Shareholder Compensation Committee and Board of Directors of Littler Mendelson as well. Admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in California, Grover has extensive experience in all areas of labor and employment law including harassment, discrimination, disability, and wage and hour matters. He has been named a Northern California Super Lawyer for 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.

Jade Butman - Senior Associate

Jade Butman joined Keller Grover LLP in 2005. Butman previously worked with Constantine & Partners and Kaplan, Thomashower & Landau in New York City, and Hatfield, Moran & Barry in New Hampshire.

Prior to graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, receiving her Juris Doctorate, Butman interned for the Pennsylvania Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division, and represented alleged incapacitated elderly citizens at guardianship hearings while participating in the University of Pittsburgh's Elder Law Clinic. Butman is admitted to practice before the courts of California, New York and New Hampshire. Her practice includes expertise in litigating claims arising under complex commercial litigation, antitrust, copyright, trademark, partnership, securities, and employment laws.

Kathleen R. Scanlan- Senior Associate

Kathleen R. Scanlan began working with Keller in 2004 and joined Keller Grover when it was founded in 2005. She received a B.A. in American Studies from Trinity College, Hartford, CT and earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1998. At Hastings, she was a member of the Constitutional Law Quarterly and a teaching assistant in the appellate advocacy program, receiving an award for oral advocacy in the annual David E. Snodgrass Intramural Moot Court Competition in 1998. A member of the California Bar, Scanlan is admitted to practice before each of the United States District Courts in California. Her areas of practice with Keller Grover include consumer protection, antitrust and whistleblower actions.

Elizabeth A. Acevedo - Associate

Elizabeth A. Acevedo joined Keller Grover LLP in 2006. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California in 2003 and undergraduate degree from Loyola University of New Orleans. Acevedo is admitted to the California Bar and to practice in the United States District Courts of the Northern, Central and Southern Districts of California. Her areas of practice include employment law and complex securities litigation.

Carey G. Been - Associate

Carey G. Been joined Keller Grover after earning his Juris Doctrate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2005 and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Francisco State University in 1999. While in law school, Mr. Been externed with the Honorable Candace Beason and the Honorable Janice Claire Croft of the Los Angeles Superior Court and interned with both the California State Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General and the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. Mr. Been also served as an editor of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly and was the recipient of several Witkin Awards recognizing academic excellence. Since joining Keller Grover, Mr. Been has worked on complex consumer protection and antitrust class action cases involving issues of both federal and state law. Mr. Been is a member of the California Bar and has been admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of California.

Robert Spencer - Associate

Robert Spencer graduated with honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara, receiving a B.A. in Political Science in 1999. He graduated with honors from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 2005. Spencer served as Senior Production Editor for the International and Comparative Law Review as a law student, and gained practical courtroom experience by participating in a trial advocacy class that conducted mock trials. Spencer also clerked for the Los Angeles City Attorney's office, where he helped shut down apartment complexes used as drug dens. In his second year of law school, he worked at a respected products liability firm, gaining valuable experience working on cases being heard before the Supreme Court of California and the Supreme Court of Florida.

Rubi Quihuis

Rubi Quihuis completed her undergraduate studies at Stanford University and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
While at Hastings, Ms. Quihuis was a member of the Hastings Race and Poverty Law Journal, a moot court teaching assistant and a student attorney at The Legal Aid Society's Worker's Rights Clinic.

Ms. Quihuis has been with Keller Grover LLP since 2006. She is a member of the Washington State Bar and works primarily in the firm's employment practice. She is fluent in Spanish.

Valerie L. Sharpe - Of Counsel

Valerie Sharpe became Of Counsel to Keller Grover LLP in early 2006. Sharpe worked previously with Littler Mendelson PC, the nation's largest firm specializing in labor and employment law. While at Littler Mendelson, Sharpe litigated employment and labor cases on behalf of local and national employers. Her areas of expertise include discrimination, harassment, retaliation, disability discrimination and failure to accommodate, leave denial, wage and hour violations, and wrongful termination cases.

Sharpe has a BA in English and Women's Studies from UC Santa Barbara and a Master's Degree in Women's Studies from The Ohio State University. She obtained her law degree from the Moritz College of Law at Ohio State in 1997. As a law student, Sharpe clerked for a Franklin County Judge, received a fellowship from the University of Michigan's Child Welfare Law Program, and was a legal assistant to the General Counsel for the Ohio Civil Service Employee's Association, AFSCME, AFL-CIO.

Since moving to San Francisco in 1997, Sharpe has performed pro bono work for San Francisco's Legal Services for Children and served as a member of the Board of Directors for the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault for a number of years. A true advocate, she currently spends her free time mentoring at-risk youth and participating in a community organization that addresses issues impacting East Oakland. Sharpe is admitted to practice before all state and most federal courts in California.
